Booking Terms and Conditions

 A Simple Summary

When you book, you should be certain you can attend on the dates specified.

Booking Cancellation Terms:

If you cancel within 7 calendar days, we will return your money minus a 4% booking fee.

If we cancel for any reason other than weather, we will attempt to offer you an alternative or refund your money in full.

If the weather is not favourable for your activity, we will attempt to re-schedule or return your money minus a 1.5% booking fee.

Fees may be returned directly from our CAF charity bank account

Why would we cancel?
The weather might be unsuitable or we may be unable to run the activity safely due to equipment failure.
We might not have sufficient numbers booked on the activity.
Where unexpected weather events occur and a course is curtailed,
the Trust will arrange alternative dates on which to complete the course.

Some other points to bear in mind:

If you are booked on a multiple day or weekly event and have to miss a day or week or more, no refund will be given. If you miss the first day of a course, then we will not provide a refund and the second day cannot be taken as the learning on the first day is critical to the learning on the second. If you miss the first day of a weekly activity, this will affect the quality of the learning process but the instructor will make efforts to help the student catch up.

Travel and own-equipment insurance is not included in the package. Our activities have an inherent risk and accidents that do not arise from anyone’s negligence can happen. The participant is responsible for making sure they have adequate insurance. Overseas participants coming to the UK must also have their own travel insurance.

Acceptance of a place on the activity binds the student to behave responsibly and follow the instructions of the staff, especially on safety matters. Students not following the instruction of staff or whose behaviour is deemed unacceptable by staff may be asked to leave the activity without a refund. Any damage or loss caused by the student will be recovered from the student by the Centre.

The Trust cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury to any student or property. We will endeavour to return property left at the Centre but this may involve a charge (online postal charges can be paid and labels printed by the Centre).

If you have a complaint, please make this known to the manager either in person or by email/post and every effort will be made to reach an amicable solution.

Buoyancy aids must be worn at all times when on the water. Participants must be reasonably physically fit and advise of any illnesses or disabilities at the time of booking. If you are taking medication, you must inform your instructor. Participants with the following conditions must check with their doctor before making a booking: epilepsy, angina, giddy spells, a heart condition or any condition that makes exertion difficult or might be brought on by immersion in cold water  Participants must ensure that they are protected with sunscreen and have sufficient fluids to hand. Parents may leave sunscreen with the instructor to reapply during the day.
